X-PCD
The X-PCD (Process Challenge Device) is the most comprehensive challenge device in the world.
In the field of dentistry there is only ONE critical device and that is the handpiece. The handpiece is the only critical instrument due to its complexity of cleaning and sterilising. The handpiece cannot be taken apart like other instruments, therefore its internal lumen condition is unknown during cleaning and sterilising.
The X-PCD is a 10 times greater challenge than any dental handpeice. Couples with the X-Class indicator that measures the 4 critical parameters during sterilisation, the XPCD will validate all handpieces inside the steriliser.

Traditionally tubed PCD's have been used as a means of representing the free space in the chamber of the steriliser. Now X-Labs have taken this technology to the next level by focusing NOT on the free space of the chamber, the amount of pressure that is reuired to breach ito a steri pouch and then up into the lumen.
We have then increased the challenge of this pressure by creating a stainless steel medical grade 316L filter that has to be breached to ensure the steam reaches all throughout the handpiece lumen.
